Job Summary
We are looking for a
Project Manager
to manage remote construction projects in assigned territories from start to finish while ensuring they meet Thrive Homes' strict standards for speed, safety, and quality. This role will report directly to the
Director of Construction Operations
and will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and managing subcontractors, coordinating project schedules, and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, skilled in construction project management, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage home modification projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Recruit, qualify, and onboard subcontractors to support project demand in assigned territories.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Enforce Thrive Homes' quality guidelines, ensuring all work meets company and industry standards.
- Prepare standardized reports and documentation for each project, including cost estimates, progress updates, and final closeout reports.
- Monitor budgets, track project milestones, and maintain detailed records in the company's CRM system.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, health plans, state health organizations, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and project quality.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders to address issues, resolve conflicts, and maintain project momentum.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- 3+ years of experience in construction project management, home modifications, cost estimation, or related roles.
- Proven ability to recruit and manage subcontractors across multiple locations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in building rapport with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Proficiency with technology and software tools (CRM systems, scheduling platforms, Google Workspace; Salesforce experience a plus).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving in a team environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity and solving new problems in a fast-growing organization.
- Passion for helping others, particularly older adults and individuals with accessibility needs.
