Overview

Join our vibrant educational team as an Assistant Teacher/Floater In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the learning and development of children across various classrooms. You will collaborate with lead teachers to implement engaging lesson plans, promote literacy and math skills, and ensure that each child's unique needs are met.

What you'll do

  • Assist in the implementation of lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Support classroom management by fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
  • Engage with children in activities that promote literacy education, math skills, and overall childhood development.
  • Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs or disabilities, ensuring every child has access to quality education.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop curriculum materials that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment while supervising children during activities and transitions.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Experience

  • A background in early childhood education or related field is essential.
  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with special education practices, including working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with other disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support positive interactions among students.
  • Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development is a plus.
  • Passion for fostering a love of learning through engaging activities tailored for toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Previous classroom experience is highly valued.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
