Armed Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Must possess above average communication skills. Positions are "tactical dress". Applicant will provide their own tactical vest, and duty belt + holster. Must have superior verbal and non-verbal communications skills.
Duties
- Respond promptly to incidents, providing immediate assistance as needed.
- Communicate verbally with client staff and customers in a personable and professional manner
- Manage conflicts effectively, employing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Maintain constant situational awareness; be alert to and prepared to address suspicious activity.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as required during incidents or investigations.
- Communicate verbally with client staff and management at assigned sites.
Qualifications
- Valid armed security officer license or certificate is required. Must be able to provide current licensing for any and all less-lethal equipment, and be authorized to carry such equipment on a site-by-site basis.
- Previous armed security experience is required; previous law enforcement experience is preferred.
- Proficient in conflict management techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective reporting and collaboration.
- Applicant must have a current Driver's License and reliable transportation.
