In this role, you'll design and build core backend systems for Factory OS, integrating real-time machine data and ensuring secure, scalable architecture. You'll stay hands-on with coding, guide technical direction, and mentor engineers.

The Role:

  • Architect Factory OS.

  • Stay hands-on with code while upholding high standards for quality, testing, and CI/CD.

  • Design for scale across factories with resilient infrastructure and GitOps-based Kubernetes environments.

  • Evaluate and integrate third-party tools for machine connectivity, RFID, and MES functions

  • Collaborate with and guide frontend teams to prototype operator UIs using HTMX, Wails, or React.

The Person:

  • Led high-throughput, mission-critical distributed systems

  • Skilled in operating and debugging production Kubernetes environments

  • Proficient in Go

  • Expert in event streaming (Kafka, Pulsar) and modeling complex real-world systems

  • Familiar with FedRAMP, CMMC, or NIST standards

  • Ability to work in Dallas, TX – Hybrid 3 days a week onsite (Or based in San Jose, CA and can travel to Dallas 1 week per month with expenses covered)
