One Federal Solution (OFS) is seeking a versatile Skilled & General Laborer to join our Washington, DC team. This role requires physical ability, hands-on skills, and proficiency with hand and power tools to perform maintenance, repairs, assembly, and general labor tasks. Candidates will support various projects, including moving, setup, and upkeep of facilities and equipment.

Key Tasks and Duties

  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks using hand tools and power tools (e.g., drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers).
  • Assemble, move, and arrange furniture, office equipment, and other items.
  • Load and unload trucks and other vehicles, including materials and supplies.
  • Pack, unpack, and securely transport items, including sensitive or fragile equipment.
  • Assist with facility upkeep and minor repairs, following safety and quality standards.
  • Use stevedoring equipment, dollies, straps, and hand trucks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of six months to one year of experience in general or skilled labor, maintenance, or moving work.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools and basic repair/assembly tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and diagrams.
  • Ability to lift at least 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in varying conditions, including hot/cold environments, confined spaces, or at heights.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.

Expected Hours

  • Part-time, on-call position with flexible scheduling based on project needs.
