Experienced Reefer Dispatcher – On-Site (Melrose Park, IL Terminal)
Location: 1301 Armitage Ave, Melrose Park, Illinois
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site. Work hours M-F , Saturday rotation once every 6 weeks.
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of reefer dispatching experience
Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Reefer Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience coordinating refrigerated loads, managing driver schedules, and maintaining compliance with temperature-sensitive shipment requirements. Position is onsite at Melrose park, IL terminal.
Responsibilities
-Plan, schedule, and dispatch reefer loads efficiently and on time
-Monitor and manage driver routes, hours, and equipment utilization
-Communicate proactively with drivers, customers, and brokers
-Track load temperatures and ensure compliance with cold chain standards
-Handle unexpected issues such as breakdowns, delays, or temperature excursions
-Maintain accurate load documentation and reports in dispatch software
Requirements
-Minimum 2 years of reefer dispatch experience (preferred in OTR or regional operations)
-Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and ELD systems
-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
-Experience with dispatch software (e.g., McLeod, TMW, or similar)
-Must be reliable, organized, and team-oriented
