We are currently in search of an enthusiastic Liability Field Adjuster responsible for inspecting damage, gathering evidence, and negotiating settlements.  In this role you will need to assess liabiity, analyze coverage and communicate with various parties involved in the claims.  The territory for these inspections is in New York City and the surrounding burroughs.  It is imperative our contractors deliver compassionate service that is fast, fair and easy to ensure customer retention. You will work independently, prioritizing responsibilities, and managing your own workload while ensuring that you are meeting the customer service standards for our carriers.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Investigating claims:  conduct on-site inspections of damaged property, vehicles, or incident scenes.
  • Gather evidence:  interview claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties; collect police reports, photographs, and other documentation
  • Assess damages:  determine the extent of damage, evaluate repair costs, and assess the validity of claims.
  • Manage claims:  handle a caseload of claims, meeting deadlines and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Support Vanguard's commitment to the highest ethical standards
  • Manage communication, verbally or in writing, regarding claim processes/procedures with other customers, employees and leaders.
