In this role, you will contribute to product launches, strategy execution, and ultimately shape the future of Pixel Camera Photography. You will pioneer advancements in computational photography to deliver exceptional image quality, making a direct and profound impact on Pixel users worldwide.Android is Google's mobile operating system powering more than 3 billion devices worldwide. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies. Applying excellent C++ programming skills or machine learning knowledge to computational photography issues.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Develop Camera imaging and ML algorithm and solution for HDR+, the mobile imaging pipelines running on Pixel Camera.
  • Evaluate research papers in computational photography, computer vision, graphics, and Generative AI.
