Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate proficiency in various medical settings, including hospitals, clinics, and outpatient facilities. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients across diverse populations, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to evaluate health status.
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform IV insertion and venipuncture procedures with precision.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in EMR and EHR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with medical-surgical procedures, including operating room (OR) support when necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-acute care needs.
  • Provide care in various settings such as emergency rooms, urgent care facilities, geriatrics, PICU, outpatient clinics, and sub-acute care environments.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism while delivering compassionate care.

Requirements

  • Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred.
  • Proficiency in emergency medicine and infectious disease care is a plus.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient assessment and care.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be beneficial.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Previous experience in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or school nursing is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour
