Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and exceptional service from the moment they arrive. Your primary responsibility is to create a positive first impression, manage reservations, and coordinate seating arrangements to enhance the overall guest experience. A background in food service, hospitality, or restaurant operations is preferred, along with excellent communication and guest relations skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Toast.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area.
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service.
- Monitor waiting lists and communicate wait times accurately to guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area and waiting zones.
- Support other restaurant operations as needed, including assisting with guest services and hospitality duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in food service/hospitality is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Hospitality experience, including hotel or guest services, is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and remain calm under pressure.
