Job Description:

We Empower Home Care is looking for compassionate and reliable caregivers/personal care attendants to provide exceptional care for individuals with disabilities and the elderly. This part-time opportunity offering rewarding work in the comfort of our clients' homes.

Schedule:

  • Shift: Mon 6am-10:30am, Tue to Fri 6am-8:30am, as needed for weekends
  • Location: Indianapolis 46231

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Care: Deliver compassionate, client-centered care to individuals with disabilities and seniors.
  • Assistance with Daily Living: Support clients with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility while encouraging independence.
  • Health Monitoring: Observe clients' well-being, document changes, and promptly report any concerns.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and foster a positive environment for overall well-being.
  • Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living space, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Client Empowerment: Encourage clients to participate in activities and make decisions to enhance their autonomy.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with families and other caregivers to deliver coordinated care.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.
  • Compassion: A caring and empathetic attitude is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team.
  • Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and dedicated to quality care.
  • Physical Capability: Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting and assisting with mobility.
  • Transportation: Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance required.
  • Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
