We're looking for a social media strategist who can help us stand out, drive real customer acquisition, and scale sustainably as a small business. We're looking for someone who deeply understands community-driven growth and can create actionable, results-oriented strategies for both Instagram and TikTok, designed to:

  • Build genuine community engagement
  • Strengthen brand loyalty
  • Drive organic sales

This is not a content creation role, it's a one-off strategy project. You'll develop clear, actionable stratergy that our in-house social media coordinator can execute with confidence. This is for an Australian haircare brand. While this is a one off project, there's potential for future followup projects, including for our other brands, based on the success of this strategy.

What You'll Deliver

You'll create two individual strategies (one for Instagram, one for TikTok) that include:

  • Community growth roadmap — a clear actionable plan to build a connected, loyal following aligned with our brand tone and values
  • Strategy to nurture followers toward product discovery and purchase without feeling "salesy"
  • Platform-specific growth strategy & content pillars

You're A Good Fit If

  • Have proven experience growing product-based lifestyle or beauty brands through organic social strategy. Bonus if you have experience with small businesses (proof of experience will be required).
  • Understand how to build brand community, not just followers
  • Have a strong grasp on TikTok culture and Instagram algorithm trends, and also an eye for being ahead of the trends rather than simply following
  • Proficiency in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO)
  • Strong Communication and Social Media skills
  • Experience in Content Strategy development
  • Can translate brand tone into actionable content systems
