DeRomo's Gourmet Market & Restaurant is a popular, busy, authentic Italian marketplace in Bonita Springs. We are currently seeking a Pasta Maker to join our Culinary Team. Pasta Makers will make various types of pasta using machines such as mixers, rollers, cutters. Pasta is also made by hand (kneading, pinching, and rolling)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable of quality control requirements for all packaging and/or production operations.
  • Conscientious handling of inventory to avoid damage or adulteration.
  • Visual inspection of overall appearance of finished product throughout the run to meet product specifications.
  • Monitor for correct code date, label, seal integrity, and product quality throughout all processes.
  • Read and follow recipes for dough
  • Accurately complete daily production batch record entries.
  • Maintain a neat and clean workspace.
  • Perform all operations in accordance with facility SOPs
  • Assist at efficient production and/or packaging operations for daily scheduled runs.
  • Safe operation of all equipment.
  • Sanitation and custodial services of facility and equipment.
  • Proper use and handling of cleaning supplies
  • Ensures cooking stations are sanitized and prepped with necessary tools
  • Resolves customer complaints with diplomacy
  • Makes sure the kitchen is clean and sanitized

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • A food handler's certification, preferred
  • Proven food preparation and food handling experience
  • Working knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • The ability to follow standardized recipes
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work in a team
  • Communicate in English both written and verbal skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
