Job Title: Universal Caregiver

Location: Kinsington Oak Grove, 60-Bed Memory Care Community

Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Job Description:

Are you a compassionate, dedicated individual looking to make a difference in the lives of seniors living with memory challenges? Join our team at Kinsington Oak Grove as a Universal Caregiver and play a vital role in providing exceptional care, comfort, and companionship to our residents.

As a Universal Caregiver, you will work closely with residents, families, and team members to create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes dignity, respect, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship to residents with memory care needs.
  • Support residents during mealtimes, including serving, feeding (as needed), and monitoring dietary intake.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment, including light housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Monitor residents for changes in physical, emotional, or cognitive condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
  • Encourage participation in recreational and social activities to foster engagement and enhance quality of life.
  • Document care provided in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure holistic care and a positive living environment for all residents.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Experience in memory care, senior care, or caregiving (preferred but not required).
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or similar credential (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with seniors.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed.
