Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be able to interpret a drawing and program to set up and produce parts in a Job Shop environment with little to no supervision in an acceptable time frame on various lathes and mills. The pieces range from fractional tolerance to +/-.001" and are made from carbon steels to Inconel. You didn't get into machining because you hated the fine print.

Duties

-· Be responsible for personal safety and the safety of others.

· Maintain shop and machine housekeeping.

· Set up, indicate, and machine raw material to OEM print dimensions.

· Cross-train on all machines, including all CNCs and manual machines.

· Provide positive training/mentorship to other entry-level machinists with sound advice.

· Must understand material speeds and feeds and various machining techniques.

· CAD/CAM experience is preferred.

· Any other tasks as assigned by manager.

Skills

· 5 Years of CNC Job Shop Experience with setups.

· Experience with Fanuc and Haas controls.

· Minor program editing (hand-write basic code a plus).

· 4th and 5th axis mills.

· Live tooling and sub-spindle lathes.

· Thorough understanding of G-code, GD&T, Trigonometry, Algebra, and Geometry.

· Proper use of measuring tools used in machining, OD/ID mics, calipers, indicators, and gages.

· Personal tools are a plus.

· Must be eligible to work in the United States.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools and other software as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour
