Position Overview

We are seeking a Data Platform Architect in Austin, TX to design, implement, and manage enterprise-level data platforms. This role will support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and scalable. The position is open for full-time or part-time candidates and offers flexible hybrid work options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain cloud-based data platforms to support analytics and operational processes.
  • Develop, optimize, and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration from multiple sources.
  • Ensure adherence to data quality, governance, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to convert requirements into efficient data solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and implement enhancements for reliability and scalability.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the data platform.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or cloud platform development.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $155,000 – $165,000 annually
  • Annual Bonus: Typically 10–20% of base salary
