DCF Contract Oversight seeks to hire a contract monitor. The individual in this position is responsible for monitoring the administrative and programmatic terms and conditions of the Department's contracts. The position is a Government Operations Consultant II.
The individual selected for this position will work from the Jacksonville DCF office at 5920 Arlington Expressway. Employees in this position work from the office and do not telecommute. A Monday through Friday, 8-hour daily work schedule during typical business hours is required.

To be considered, candidates must meet all the following minimum requirements.
- At least a bachelor's degree from a college or university with accreditation as recognized by the US Department of Education.
- At least three years full-time professional-level experience in health and human services.
- At least two years of professional-level experience in working with governmental health and human services contracts.
- Working knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Office products. Must also have a working knowledge of SharePoint and Citrix ShareFile[CB1] as well as a practical knowledge of SmartSheet.

Salary will be $52,000.00 to $55,000.00 annually. Prior or current salary is not taken into consideration.
This position is part of the Contract Oversight function, which is responsible for monitoring the administrative and programmatic terms and conditions of the Department's contracts. Contract monitoring is conducted in accordance with section , Florida Statutes, and Children and Families Operating Procedure 75-8.
Position duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepares, manages, and performs the contract monitoring process. Participates as a solo reviewer, or as a team leader or a team member as assigned by the unit manager.
- Researches and analyzes contracts, statutes, laws, rules, regulations, policies, and other complex written information to identify compliance requirements and/or performance expectations that are applicable to contracted providers. Prepares monitoring tools and devises approaches to assess the performance and compliance of contracted providers.
- Reviews plans, reports, complex documents, records, and transactions to determine performance relative to compliance requirements. Conducts interviews and observes provider facilities as needed.
- Gathers and analyzes data and information from Department and provider sources, including Departmental automated systems.
- Compares requirements and provider performance and draws conclusions about the provider's implementation and performance of contract requirements.
- Conducts formal and informal meetings with Department and provider staff, including entrance and exit conferences.
- Completes, organizes, and maintains monitoring documentation in accordance with unit standards and record retention requirements.
- Gathers information from Department sources and incorporates necessary information into a written report.
- Prepares correspondence and reports that meet standards for content and style.
Cooperation, communication, and teamwork are necessary skills for this position. Candidates must be highly proficient in written and verbal communication, use of automated systems, and research and analysis. The
position incumbent must demonstrate self-direction and self-motivation, sound decision making, and the ability to create and maintain positive and respectful working relationships with Department colleagues and provider staff.
Statewide travel is required, including overnight travel, potentially several times per year. Travel is scheduled in advance. A valid driver's license from your state of residency is required for this position, and your license must be maintained as a condition of employment. You must be willing to use a personal vehicle for work related travel if requested. You must be able to lift 20 pounds.
