THE OPPORTUNITY
As a member of the Digital Technology team, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, and continuously improving technology solutions. As an Engineering Manager, Website, you will partner with Digital Product Management, Digital Design, Marketing, and Digital Merchandising to drive the technical strategy, implementation and roadmap for key areas of You will be accountable for building high-performing teams that deliver quality, reliable, secure and scalable digital commerce products. This role is designed as a stepping stone to Engineering Management, providing you with the opportunity to develop leadership capabilities while maintaining technical credibility. THE ROLE
As the Engineering Manager, Website, you will:
- Directly manage a squad of developers and QA engineers, providing mentorship, career development, and performance management, ensuring the squad consistently delivers high quality work
- Build a collaborative team culture through participating in hiring decisions, onboarding new team members, and creating individual development plans
- Define and communicate the technical vision and roadmap for your product area, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architectural goals while ensuring alignment with broader platform strategy
- Establish and uphold technical standards and system design principles, guiding architecture decisions, managing technical debt, and maintaining best practices through code reviews and structured processes
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Managers and Designers to shape solutions, validate feasibility, and recommend technical approaches that enhance user experience
- Drive delivery excellence through agile leadership, removing blockers, tracking team velocity and quality metrics, and communicating progress and commitments to stakeholders
- Provide strategic technical support through selective hands-on coding for critical items, high-level code reviews, and advanced debugging, while serving as the escalation point for complex production issues and ensuring knowledge sharing across the team
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The Engineering Manager, Website has:
- Proven and best-in-class skills in full-stack development, as well as experience leading and overseeing developers & QA/QE/SDET
- Strong proficiency in React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and eCommerce-specific challenges (catalogs, cart, checkout flows)
- Working knowledge of backend technologies , APIs, databases) to guide architecture and review code
- Experience with commerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud/PWAKit preferred)
- Understanding of testing strategies and ability to ensure robust test coverage
- Familiarity with payment integrations, inventory management, SEO, and customer experience optimization
- Knowledge of web performance optimization and conversion rate principles
- Proven ability to lead and mentor developers and QA engineers, with experience in resource planning and sprint management
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and make decisions under pressure

THE COMPENSATION
The typical hiring range for this position is $175,000–$225,000 per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus.
