 We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our AI/ML Research team in Summer 2026. You'll work on Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, and multi-agent orchestration, exploring new algorithms, architectures, and fine-tuning methods. This role is ideal for students who enjoy pushing the boundaries of applied research and want to contribute to next-generation AI systems.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct experiments with LLMs, transformers, and generative AI.
• Research and prototype agentic AI workflows, multi-agent communication, and orchestration.
• Explore advanced training methods (LoRA, PEFT, RLHF, RLAIF, DPO).
• Design evaluation frameworks for LLM reasoning, alignment, and factuality.
• Publish findings in internal reports and collaborate with researchers to shape future product directions.

WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Solid background in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Systems Design.
• Strong theoretical understanding of ML/AI concepts (optimization, neural networks, probability, NLP).
• Proficiency in Python (preferred), with experience in PyTorch/TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with LLM training, fine-tuning, or RAG pipelines.
• Actively pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with HuggingFace, LangChain, or LangGraph.
• Familiarity with vector databases, rerankers, and knowledge-grounded systems.
• Strong math background (linear algebra, statistics, optimization).

Actual rate depends upon many factors, including a candidate's skills, qualifications and experience, location, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. 

Pay Range :

$50-$53/hr

In-Office Expectations

Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
