Director, Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager at the Director level to join the team in Middle Office product management within Investor Services.
The Product Manager -Director is a key role managing within the Middle Office team who broadly set the strategy and providing direction, leadership and budgetary management for the products. This role will support the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating business lines through product life-cycles working with the broader Investor Services Management team. The overall objective of this role is to mange the NAM team and facilitate the evolution and roll out of the Middle Office Products focused on operating model, platform, vendors and client engagement.
The manager will partner with tech and operations, report program updates and ensure the financial discipline of the business and book of work always aligns to the approved budgets. You will assist with appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
- Manage strategic program roadmap, development, launch, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product
- Supervise day-to-day product management for core Middle Office products - IBOR, Trade Management, Performance, Risk related to product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
- Drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
- Develop plans and execute functional strategies for a North America requiring coordination, or business and integration across regional units as well as provide input into strategic decisions affecting job family or function within a region or business
- Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, and address fundamental trials of product commoditization to create an advanced set of solutions
- Direct and oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
- Drive achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans
- Develop and communicate a business plan to approach the marketplace, and coordinate and implement team procedures, client problem resolutions and client management
- Lead innovation by working with external partners/alliances to develop products, manage ongoing relationships, and prepare agreements

- Socialize future state vision with all other Citi partners and clients.
- Support the data strategy for the business and drive the execution of that vision with Product, Tech, Ops and Clients
- Spearhead and lead Agile initiatives and dynamically create agile squads.
- Partner with Investor Services transformation team to ensure connectivity, driving and owning the budgets for change.
- Drive a Data culture across the business and own remediation programs of work to ensure execution
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- 8+ years of managerial experience
- Deep Expertise in Middle Office services and Investment Operations
- Working knowledge of Order Management Systems (OMS)
- Experience implementing AI and ML automation for efficiency and new product capabilities
- Background in supporting Asset Manger operations
- Understanding of trade management and settlement servicing
- Experience with account, funds and asset performance and client reporting
- Technical knowledge of IBOR and ABOR management / oversight
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- MBA or Master's degree preferred
- CFA preferred
