Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in food safety and handling. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, preparing high-quality fried dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. Candidates with background in fine dining, catering, or the food industry are encouraged to apply. The Fry Cook will be responsible for executing menu items efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook fried dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food handling and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with menu planning and suggest improvements for dish presentation and flavor profiles
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality of food products
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy periods
  • Assist in food plating and presentation for service
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Support other kitchen operations as needed, including food prep and assisting with other meal components

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within the food industry or restaurant setting
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of food safety practices
  • Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling procedures
  • Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
  • Fine dining or catering experience is desirable but not required
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food service standards and customer service principles
