OverviewThe Jr. Software Developer is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and enhancement of internal applications and systems across the enterprise. This role contributes to the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, debugging, and deploying solutions that align with business needs and technical standards. Operating within an agile development environment, the Jr. Software Developer collaborates with senior developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions.
ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software applications using React, AngularJS, .NET, SQL Server, and other modern frameworks.
- Participate in agile scrum sprints, including planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of automated regression test suites using tools such as Playwright.
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration using GitHub Actions and version control with Git.
- Contribute to the design and development of APIs (SOAP/REST) and data integrations.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Document workflows, technical specifications, and user stories for development and QA purposes.
- Engage in continuous learning and apply new technologies to improve development efficiency and product quality.
- Support incident response and troubleshooting activities related to application performance and bugs.
- Maintain internal knowledge base documentation and contribute to IT training resources.
- Participate in change management and problem resolution processes in alignment with IT best practices.
- Participate in change management, incident response, and problem management processes in alignment with Compliance best practices.
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance, people and culture, and learning programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Background Requirements:
- Education: Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology or related field required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred.
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience in software development or QA roles required.
- Exposure to enterprise application development and agile methodologies required.
- Experience with frontend and backend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Java, and SQL required.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control systems required.
- Skills & Technologies:
- Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, C#, Java
- Frameworks & Tools: React, AngularJS, Express, SvelteKit, , .NET, GitHub, SharePoint
- Testing & Automation: Playwright, GitHub Actions
