Raytheon (RTX) has an immediate opening for a temporary Senior Principal Engineer, Systems Engineering. This role will support the program's integration and test activities in Huntsville, Alabama. This is a mix of program sustainment, engineering efforts in support of test & evaluation activities, as well as support for launcher development, integration and test.

The assignment length may vary based on business need but is anticipated to last twenty-four months.

What You Will Do:

  • Direct support for Engineering Services contract activities related to system test and evaluation.
  • Support the flight test team, both domestic and international locations
  • Provide direct support for platform launcher development, integration, and test
  • Maintain engineering lab in the Joint Venture Huntsville location

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."
  • Experience with guided missile system design, integration and flight test
  • Experience planning and conducting guided missile tests in both domestic and international locations

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Hardware, Computer, or Electrical Engineering system design, Integration and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience working autonomously and in a team environment
  • Experience with shoulder launched guided missile design, troubleshooting, validation test
  • Experience with guided missile integration on ground vehicle platforms
