Position Summary:

We are searching for a Senior Scientist / Scientist in cell-based biology to join our San Diego group. This individual will be a team member of our drug discovery programs for the identification and validation of novel targets and molecular glue degraders in collaboration with biology and chemistry teams in China and global CROs. This role will report to the site head in San Diego.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead research programs focused on protein degradation and therapeutic development.
  • Develop and execute cell-based assays in support of small molecule discovery programs.
  • Investigate the mechanisms of action of proprietary novel compounds.
  • Work independently and demonstrate strong trouble shooting abilities.
  • Ensure data quality and timely data delivery as a global project team member.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a positive attitude.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Degrees in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related field.
  • BS/MS with 10+ years, PhD with 5+ years, of industry experience a must.
  • Experience in cancer cell biology a must.
  • Fluency in cell-based assay development in industry settinga must.
  • Experience in biology techniques, including mammalian cell culture, transfection, and establishment of stable cells, Western blot and RT-qPCR.
  • Experience in routine cell-based assays, including cell proliferation assays, apoptosis assay and image-based assays.
  • Manage daily lab operation and maintain the cell and plasmid repository.
  • Maintain stock of lab reagents and consumables.
  • A good team player.

Base Pay: $100, $130,000.00 per year
