Primary Purpose:
As a
Market Developer
you will act as a technical product specialist that enables ChemPoint to secure new business for select product lines across a wide range of markets and industry segments. This is achieved through targeted campaigns, conducting technical sales calls, and formulation/application consultation with customers. This role generates strong market learnings based on research, insight, outreach, and campaign efforts.
What You Will Do:
- Executes sales campaigns by performing targeted technical sales calls, interacting primarily with product end-users and technical/R&D personnel to identify, test, and refine product value propositions and share results with the Product Manager.
- Supports Product Line growth by managing sales opportunities through the full sales cycle and continuing to provide technical support upon transition of customer/opportunity to Sales Representative's territory.
- Develops and demonstrates technical competency for select product lines by working closely with Product Managers, technical supplier contacts, and customers to gain market-focused insight.
- Create and deliver Product and Industry training in collaboration with Product Managers and Suppliers.
- Provides product/application specific training as necessary for sales representatives.
- Leads and assists sales representatives with technical sales calls to support application development and make effective product recommendations.
- Assists Product Manager in campaign strategy development by helping to create and refine campaign/product collateral (internal and online).
- Achieves customer-focused solutions and works toward product line goals by defining objective, environment, resources, and plan.
- Foresees and mitigates risks associated to customer/supplier needs and potential solutions.
- Maintains current knowledge of industry and global trends sharing learnings with the team; participates in relevant trade shows and supplier-facing meetings.
- Considers aligning solutions to ChemPoint vision, values, & guiding principles.
- Aligns behavior and actions with ChemPoint culture by showing up with energy, promoting and adapting to change, initiating and promoting innovation, leading with courage, and having fun.
What You Will Need:
- Science or Technical Bachelor's degree from fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience is required.
- Chemistry or Chemical Engineering focus strongly preferred 5+ years' sales/industry/product experience within relevant focus area.
- Experience and sound knowledge of using PC and Windows OS Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
- Technical proficiency for select products and industry segments, with the ability to quickly learn technical product application, usage, and chemical process information.
- Intermediate or Business level Spanish preferred.
Where You´ll Work:
This is a hybrid role in Chicago, IL; Houston, TX or Bellevue, WA.
Pay & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is USD 77, ,780. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay. Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental. We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.
