Sr. Applications Ops Lead

We are seeking a
Sr Applications Ops Lead
to drive strategic initiatives across ERP engineering verticals- SAP BASIS, Integration, and Cloud/Platform. This role plays a critical part in advancing operational excellence, ensuring system reliability, and aligning efforts across technical domains.

The ideal candidate brings deep operational expertise, a strong leadership presence, and the ability to foster collaboration across cross-functional teams. This role partners closely with engineering leads, technical program managers, and documentation specialists to maintain scalable, compliant, and well-documented environments. The Sr Applications Ops Lead will also represent Enterprise Technology across broader Operations & Technology functions, overseeing vendor partnerships, environment governance, and operational reporting.

This is a hybrid role based in the Burbank/Glendale, CA area, requiring on-site presence 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional initiatives across Platform, SAP BASIS, and Integration teams, coordinating efforts with contractors and service providers.
• Forecast resource needs and identify performance gaps to drive operational efficiency.
• Define and uphold environment management standards, including release controls, patching, and transport processes.
• Ensure timely application of system and security patches to maintain platform stability and compliance.
• Monitor system performance and availability, coordinating proactive incident response.
• Design and implement scalable operational processes to support a newly formed organization.
• Develop workflows that adapt to evolving business priorities with agility.
• Collaborate with TPMs and PMO to align operations with project timelines and strategic goals.
• Champion continuous improvement through automation and tooling enhancements.
• Support Day 1 readiness and post-launch stabilization efforts.
• Partner with SAP BASIS Security Engineer to ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and internal control frameworks.
• Own the creation, organization, and maintenance of operational documentation for accessibility and consistency.
• Track and report on operational KPIs, technical debt, and modernization opportunities.
• Serve as a liaison across Platform, BASIS, and Integration teams to ensure seamless coordination.
• Manage vendor relationships and service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Deliver executive-level reporting and insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT operations, ideally within SAP or ERP environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional technical programs and operational strategy.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, integration, and platform operations.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOX and GDPR.
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills; proficiency with Confluence, Jira, and visualization tools.
• Ability to lead with empathy, navigate ambiguity, and foster collaboration across diverse teams.

Additional Details
The base salary range for this position is $65-$75 per hour, depending on experience.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
