Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse duties, including stock management, picking and packing orders, loading trucks, and operating equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, loading trucks, etc.
  • Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to ship or to other designated areas.
  • Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes them to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
  • Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for traffic.
  • Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Opening bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program
  • Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
  • Weighing and counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Preparing parcels for mailing
  • Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
  • Wearing the proper safety equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Experience in warehouse operations and ability to work both independently and with a team
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Proficient in stock management and order fulfillment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory control
  • Capability to handle physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting

Physical Demands/ Work Environment

  • Variety of sitting, standing, walking during an 8 hour shift
  • Proper lifting technique
  • May include lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Use of required PPE, such as forklift seatbelt, safety glasses, and/ or hearing protection.
  • Requires use of electric or gas forklifts
