Backend Engineer – Ads Data

  • W2 contract** REMOTE ** Our client is looking for inquisitive, well-rounded Backend Engineers to support their 3P Ads Measurement Products engineering team. Working closely with backend engineers, product managers and sales teams, you'll play an important role in enabling the newest data sharing technologies and experiences as we scale and evolve. You will help build robust data frameworks & features and will accelerate velocity for one of the world's largest public cloud workloads. You'll empower both developers and our largest advertising partners and have the opportunity to find creative solutions to thought-provoking problems.

What You'll Do

  • Be part of a team that enables ads measurement data to be leveraged by third party partners in a privacy safe, secure way.
  • Develop new approaches to sharing data while protecting privacy by developing new techniques and collaborating with industry partners to roll them out.
  • Develop new engineering solutions to support continued scaling of the data pipelines while monitoring the performance of 3P partners.
  • Partner with product, sales and backend teams to build end-to-end functionality.
  • Employ automated testing to build features with a high degree of technical quality, taking responsibility for the components and features they develop.
  • Work with Engineering customers to understand new requirements and address them in a scalable and efficient manner.

What you bring:

  • 2+ years of industry backend development experience, building consumer
  • 2+ or business facing products
  • 1+ year of working experience with Apache Spark
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation
  • Experience developing in Python Experience using workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Apache Airflow) to build batch data processing pipelines
  • Familiarity with AWS services including S3 and IAM access controls
  • Proficiency in common backend tech stacks storage, caching and data processing
  • Experience in following best practices in writing reliable and maintainable code that may be used by many other engineers
  • Ability to keep up-to-date with new technologies to understand what should be incorporated
  • Experience with data validation, monitoring and building dashboards
  • Experience collaborating with XFN partners e.g. Product, Sales Knowledge of Privacy by Design Principles Understanding of Digital Clean Room Concepts (optional)
