POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Intern will support the Information Technology Department by assisting with equipment inventory, hardware maintenance, and device refurbishment projects. This position provides hands-on experience in IT asset management .The intern will work under the supervision of the IT Network Administrator to ensure proper documentation, organization, and functionality of IT equipment across the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Gather all IT equipment and devices.
o Compile all serial numbers and tags associated with the equipment.
o Remove storage components from computers and laptops.
o Identify the most efficient mobile devices, refurbish them, and prepare them
for reuse.
o Conduct additional IT-related activities pertinent to inventory management.
Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this internship effectively, an individual must demonstrate a commitment to learning and be able to perform the outlined responsibilities with supervision and mentorship.
Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program
Experience: No prior experience required. This is a learning opportunity for current students.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Basic knowledge of computers (Hardware)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Strong organizational skills
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Ethic: Willingness to learn, take direction, and work in a team environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Environment: Combination of office and manufacturing floor environments.
Physical Demands: Frequent sitting, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Reasonable accommodation provided as needed.
