Opportunity Overview
: Nondestructive Examination Technician – Contract Role - Madison, PA

WECTEC Staffing/Westinghouse is looking for an NDE Technician for upcoming outage work in 2026 at our Westinghouse Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. and other nuclear sites.

You will provide hands-on work in containment to complete primary side service activities. In addition to the responsibilities below, there is work in high dose and high contamination areas, often in additional protective clothing, and sometimes with different forms of respiratory protection.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Under the direction of knowledgeable technicians, you will set up equipment to support SG Primary work. This will include running cables, staging equipment and material handling.
  • Install and remove primary manways in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Install and remove nozzle covers either manually or remotely.
  • Install and remove either Pegasys or ROSA manipulators into the steam generators under the direction of the Control Station Operator (CSO).
  • Perform platform support of eddy current, responsibilities include:

  • Load end effectors onto Pegasys or ROSA manipulators

  • Change eddy current probes - ability to recognize different eddy current probe types.
  • Add or remove conduit

  • Platform support of plugging operations (either rolled or rib plug), responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the CSO perform calibration of plugging tools.

  • Load plugs onto end effectors
  • Load end effectors onto Pegasys or ROSA manipulators

Who You Are

  • One year of nuclear outage experience preferred but not required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel and obtain/maintain "Unescorted Access" status.
