Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that facilitate the collection and processing of large datasets. You will work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure that our data infrastructure supports advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering principles and a passion for working with big data technologies.

Duties

  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using tools such as Talend and Apache Hive.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand data needs.
  • Implement data models that support analytics and reporting requirements.
  • Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure the integrity, quality, and security of data throughout the lifecycle.
  • Utilize cloud platforms like AWS to deploy scalable data solutions.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends in big data technologies and analytics.

Experience

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and VBA.
  • Strong experience with SQL for database management and querying.
  • Familiarity with linked data concepts and frameworks.
  • Experience working with big data technologies including Hadoop or Spark is a plus.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools and methodologies to support decision-making processes.
  • Ability to vaticinate future trends based on current data patterns is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant projects is preferred.
