Experienced Material Handler 3 are responsible for moving, picking, storing, scanning, counting, and preparing merchandise for shipment while operating heavy machinery with precision, using an Electric Pallet Jack, Reach Truck, and Sit-down Forklift.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate an Electric Pallet Jack, Reach Truck, and Sit-down Forklift to move pallets and put away items in assigned warehouse locations.
- Load or package boxes and crates for shipping while ensuring accuracy of contents
- Assist with packing materials distribution and disposal of empty boxes
- Stock items in assigned locations within the warehouse and take part in the inventory count process
- Accurately pick merchandise from existing stock to fill customer's orders
- Unpack boxes following standard procedures
Additional Responsibilities:
- As assigned by the manager
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to Lift 50lbs independently and up 80lbs with assistance
- Extended periods of standing/walking (10+ hours/day)
- Attention to detail and ability to count
- Must be able to locate and identify specific items
- Must be able to use of a hand scanner to enter data in a computer system
- Must be able to manually pack and seal boxes following standard procedures
- Must have at least 1 years of Sit-down Forklift experience
- Must have at least 1 years of Electric Pallet Jack experience
- Must have at least 1 years of Reach Truck experience
Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:
- Minimum 12 months experience in a Warehouse
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Environment/Occupational Risks:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs independently and up to 80lbs with assistance.
- Extended periods of standing/walking
Required Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9am - 6:30pm AND Friday, 9am - 3pm
