About the Role

We are seeking a tax guru to lead the tax function within our Finance team.

In this role, you will need to be hands-on and possess a proactive attitude as we expand our global presence and navigate heightened global tax regulatory complexities. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of global tax operations, compliance, process improvements, and have a passion for making the complex simple through your extensive knowledge of taxation related risk exposures.

We are looking for someone who can provide leadership and expertise in global tax compliance for ROLLER's scaling business.

The ideal candidate will ensure strategic tax planning, compliance, and optimization across diverse jurisdictions, and engage with external advisors to ensure best practice approaches to complex and / or strategic issues. What you'll do

Global Tax Compliance

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to ensure compliance with international tax laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations globally and assess their impact on the ROLLER's tax position.

Transfer Pricing

  • Maintain transfer pricing policies to ensure they align with business activities and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate documentation and reporting for transfer pricing transactions.

Tax Planning

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify tax planning opportunities that optimize the company's global tax position while ensuring compliance.
  • Provide strategic advice on the tax implications of business decisions and initiatives.
  • AASB/ IFRS tax effect accounting.

Country Specific Tax Matter

  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and authorities in various countries.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns in multiple jurisdictions including but not limited to federal/ corporations, sales/ VAT/ GST, fringe benefits.

Other

  • Collaborate with finance and other Business Units to ensure alignment on tax matters related to business operations.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on tax-related issues.
  • Ensure ROLLER is audit ready, data is available/ automated where possible and all necessary documentation is prepared and maintained for audit purposes (if required).
  • Championing the implementation and use of technology to make tax painless
About you

A seasoned tax professional with expertise in AU, US, and UK corporate and international tax.

  • Extensive experience in company processes, controls, and cadences and have developed detailed and suitable plans to assess and remediate any gaps in tax advisory and compliance processes.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and senior management.
  • Keen eye for detail, and a strong desire to keep learning and you enjoy upholding high standards of excellence and integrity in the services you deliver.
