Summary
As the Activities Director at Cedarcroft Home, Inc., you will be instrumental in designing and implementing engaging programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This role is vital in creating a vibrant community where individuals can thrive through meaningful social interactions and therapeutic activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive activities program tailored to the needs of residents.
- Coordinate daily schedules of activities that promote social interaction, cognitive engagement, and physical well-being.
- Facilitate group activities such as arts and crafts, games, music therapy, and outings.
- Monitor residents during activities to ensure safety and provide assistance as needed.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs regularly and make adjustments based on feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and progress for each resident.
- Oversee management of resident financial spending accounts
Qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to design engaging programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
- Compassionate approach to care with a focus on enhancing residents' quality of life.
- Experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is beneficial but not required.
- Must have clean driving record, pass back ground checks and drug test.
- Must be comfortable driving a 14 passenger mini bus
- Must be detailed and organized
