iON Technology Solutions (iTS) is a privately-owned design engineering company and a member firm of Island Group Enterprises (IGE). The Company provides proprietarily engineered designs to Semiconductor Fabrication Plants globally with a focus on the Ion Implantation process. We provide components and solutions to some of the most complex problems that plague the Semiconductor Wafer Fabrication industry. Our patented Plasmon, Magnon, and Lepton product lines include state of the art Ion Implant Sources and Extraction Electrodes. Additionally, iTS offers a variety of specially designed components to Semiconductor manufacturers around the World. The Company is ISO 9001:2008 certified, maintains a Class 10,000 cleanroom facility, and a complete metrology lab.

The Mechanical Engineer will first learn about iTS's extensive product lines and become familiar with our improved components for the various Ion Implant tools that iTS supports. The Candidate will work alongside Senior Managers to design and test new products for new and existing customers. Additionally, the Mechanical Engineer will work directly with iTS's engineering team to design enhancements, perform experiments, and define customer requirements.

  • Support Senior Management in the development of new products and the expansion of iTS's product lines
  • Gain an understanding of the different Ion Implant systems that iTS supports and assist in the development of future enhancements
  • Perform First Article Inspections on new components
  • Ensure drawings are correct and accurate
  • Manage and maintain iTS's Research and Development facility

  • Prioritize and manage customer engineering requests

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a design engineering role;
  • Proficient with SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Inventor or equivalent is required
  • Ability to create and read mechanical drawings and to understand basic Geometric Dimensions & Tolerancing is required
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in teams
  • Ability to thrive in a detail-orientated environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
