The Artwork of Reuben Hale
preserves and documents the artwork and legacy of Reuben Hale for current and future generations. Through engagement with Hale's works, many of which explore women's strength and empowerment, we invite audiences to see art as a powerful vehicle for personal and societal transformation. As a vital part of our region's cultural landscape, Hale's work continues to educate and inspire. We're building a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers who are passionate about art, heritage, education, and community engagement —and who find meaning in Hale's work and are committed to preserving his artistic legacy for future generations.

Title: FUNDRAISER

We're seeking our first Fundraiser to join our expanding nonprofit organization at a pivotal moment. Reporting to the Executive Director, you'll help shape our fundraising strategy and lead its implementation as we enter our next phase. In this role, you'll focus on building sustainable revenue streams and cultivating strong relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners to ensure the continued growth of our evolving organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead grantwriting efforts, including researching opportunities, managing application timelines, and fulfilling reporting requirements
• Develop project budgets for grant proposals in collaboration with the Executive Director
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that builds on our annual campaign and expands revenue streams
• Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors through personalized outreach and stewardship
• Create and manage corporate sponsorship opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
• Track fundraising metrics and provide regular reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors
• Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate gift recording and reconciliation
• Recommend systems and best practices for donor management as the organization grows

Who we're looking for

We're seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial professional who thrives in a growing environment and wants to make their mark by building development and fundraising excellence from the foundation up. The ideal candidate brings experience and/or relevant education in:

• Grant writing and fundraising strategy development
• Relationship building with donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners
• Project management with attention to deadlines, metrics, and reporting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with Marketing on donor materials
• Donor CRM experience and ability to advise support staff on gift tracking systems
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with finance, marketing, and leadership teams

Arts nonprofit experience is a plus but not required—we value diverse backgrounds and transferable skills.

Other important aspects of the role

The primary work environment is a 100-year-old home and sculpture garden in the El Cid historic neighborhood located in West Palm Beach, FL. Typical work hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and evening events.
