Sr Associate Engineer/ Engineer, IT Network

• The Network Domain refers to the area within Information Technology that focuses on the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of an organization's networking infrastructure. This domain encompasses various activities, tools, and technologies required to ensure the efficient and secure transmission of data between devices, systems, and locations. The scope includes WAN, LAN, Firewalls, Akamai, LTM's and GTM's.

Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.

• Write/engineer network device configuration scripts with associated change documentation to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Implement network changes during appropriate change windows (after hours)
• Review and provide feedback on change documentation/engineering of other engineers.
• Establish processes to test applications and devices before planned network deployment to quantify their performance and recommend steps to ensure they are optimized.
• Serve as second-tier support for network operations team when needed.
• Participate in on-call support escalation rotation
• Create detailed network designs that meet the customer requirements (including physical and logical) of complex network systems to meet the functional objectives of the business.
• Serve as a technical resource providing guidance and advice to associates on data, voice, and mobile network capabilities for utilizing the full capability of technology in designing effective solutions.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 1+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• Airline Industry experience

• Proficiency with the following technologies:
• Programming Languages: Java, Python, C#, Javascript/Typescript
• Frameworks: Spring/SpringBoot, FastAPI
• Front End Technologies: Angular/React
• Deployment Technologies: Kubernetes, Docker
• Source Control: GitHub, Azure DevOps
• CICD: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
• Data management: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Integration/APIs Technologies: Kafka, REST, GraphQL
• Cloud Providers such as Azure and AWSExperience working with network tools such as CA Spectrum and Wireshark
• Experience working with Velocloud/Viptela SDWAN/Aruba/Meraki/Nexus/Palo Alto Firewalls/Zscaler equipment is an advantage
• Basic understanding of public cloud and Azure cloud networking
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure is a plus
• Experience with vulnerability management
• Proven ability to manage multiple vendors in a partially outsourced IT environment
• Previous software development experience is a plus to help drive Automation
• Manage end-to-end SDLC for full-stack monitoring dashboards, including requirements gathering, development, and deployment on Azure Clusters, reducing incident response time.
• Create centralized SSL certificate dashboards aggregating data from NGINX and F5 LTMs via APIs, automating renewal tracking and preventing service disruptions.
• Conduct rigorous testing (unit, integration, functional) to ensure application stability and code quality.
• Document application and system architectures for maintainability and knowledge sharing.
