Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled
Actuarial Analyst / Actuary
with P&C insurance experience to manage state filing processes, perform trend analysis, and provide actuarial insights to support business activities. The ideal candidate will hold an
ACAS/FCAS designation
or equivalent from another recognized actuarial society.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently apply
    complex actuarial, mathematical, and statistical methodologies
    to complete unstructured projects.
  • Manage assigned
    state filing processes
    , including developing rates, revising trends, preparing documentation for the DOI, obtaining sign-off from Lead Actuary, and responding to DOI inquiries.
  • Select, analyze, and validate data used for
    trend analysis
    to support rate level indications.
  • Translate business problems into technical requirements, execute models, and interpret results to support business activities.
  • Apply knowledge of supported products, stakeholder needs, and industry trends to solve unstructured business problems.
  • Identify compliance gaps, recommend process improvements, and develop actionable solutions.
  • Lead unit initiatives and participate in cross-functional projects as a
    technical subject matter expert
    .
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to all audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Synthesize complex and conflicting information into a clear, actionable value proposition.
  • Ensure
    risk management and compliance
    in all business activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • ACAS/FCAS designation
    or relevant actuarial certification.
  • Strong
    P&C insurance experience
    with state filings and rate development.
  • Expertise in
    trend analysis, data validation, and actuarial modeling
    .
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex actuarial initiatives.
