Description

The People & Culture Team Coordinator will support a wide range of human resources functions for U.S. and Canada-based employees. This role includes payroll and benefits administration, onboarding, employee records management, training coordination, and general HR operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, bilingual, and capable of managing sensitive information across multiple systems and jurisdictions. Strong analytical skills, discretion, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential.



Key Duties and Responsibilities:



Payroll & Benefits

Support payroll processing, HRIS systems requests, and maintain accurate records in HRIS and payroll systems. Assist with benefit administration, enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.

Onboarding

Facilitate new hire documentation, onboarding processes, and background checks.

Employee Records & HR Operations

Maintain confidential personnel files and process employee status changes (promotions, transfers, terminations). Support offboarding processes including exit interviews. Assist with HR policies, employee handbook updates, and recognition programs.

Training & Development

Schedule and track employee training sessions and maintain training records. Support onboarding with new hire interviews, exit interviews and other employee development initiatives.

Employee Relations & Engagement

Serve as first point of contact for general HR inquiries such as leave of absence, workers comp and safety incidents, employment verifications, and escalate complex issues to department leadership. Assist with engagement initiatives, surveys, and accommodation requests.

Compliance, Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Assist with government reporting (EEO-1, VETS-4212), I-9 verification, and HR audits. Prepare HR metrics and dashboards and partner with other teams (Finance, IT, Facilities) on HR-related processes.

Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, including U.S. payroll and benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor regulations.
  • High level of confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote processes.
  • California state experience preferred.
