As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol in Portland, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the premises. Your focus will be on building positive relationships with visitors and staff through exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
• Assist with access control and verify credentials of individuals entering the property as needed.
• Support emergency response activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and/or concerns related to security-related matters.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
