Job Title: Facility Assistant

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Weekends: Must be available every other weekend for emergencies or facility needs

Compensation: Salary pending (to be determined)

Location: On-site (Adult Care Facilities)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Facility Assistant to support both our clients and administrative staff within our adult care facilities. Our clients are adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and this role plays a vital part in ensuring they receive consistent medical care, daily support, and a safe, respectful environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, patient, calm under pressure, and comfortable working directly with adults who may require varying levels of support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, manage, and coordinate all medical appointments for clients
  • Accompany and transport clients to medical appointments
  • Appointments may last several hours; candidates must be comfortable sitting with clients and remaining calm, patient, and attentive
  • Accurately document daily logs and medical documentation
  • Assist the Administrator with MAR logs and related records
  • Place and pick up grocery orders and deliver them to care facilities
  • Assist care providers with tasks and client or household needs as required
  • Communicate clearly with administrators, care staff, and external providers
  • Maintain client confidentiality, dignity, and professionalism at all times

Availability Requirements

  • Must be on call for emergencies
  • Must be available every other weekend for urgent needs or coverage

Qualifications

  • Clean background check required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and document accurately
  • Professional, dependable, and punctual
  • Comfortable working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Preferred (Not Required)

  • DSP 1 & DSP 2 certification
  • Experience working in adult care, healthcare, or social services

Work Environment & Expectations

This is a hands-on, responsibility-driven role supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in a residential care setting. Reliability, patience, discretion, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress or unpredictable situations are essential.
