About the Role:
The Director of Ecommerce at NEST NEW YORK will drive digital commerce and growth across and support authorized online marketplaces, including Amazon and TikTok Shop (TTS), in partnership with the Vice President, DTC & Performance Marketing. This role oversees the end-to-end digital ecosystem—spanning site and storefront optimization, analytics, operations, innovation in features and functionality, and SEO/SEM. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in ecommerce and a proven ability to scale DTC businesses through data-driven decision making, customer-centric strategies, and cross-functional leadership. This role will uniquely play a pivotal part in growing the fine fragrance business online. Applicants must be available to work 3 days/week in our Manhattan-based office.
Job Duties and Accountabilities:
Develop and own the three-year ecommerce strategy and roadmap across and other digital commerce channelsBe accountable for ecommerce sales performance, site/platform KPIs, and overall business outcomesPartner with Marketing and Sales to align product launches, campaigns, and promotions, as well as identifying and executing growth opportunitiesCollaborate with Operations and IT to ensure seamless fulfillment, system integrations, and process compliancePartner with Customer Service to ensure seamless customer experience and programming executionTrack, analyze, and report on KPIs—including traffic, conversion, AOV, ROI, and marketplace rankings—providing insights that shape future strategiesRecruit, manage, and develop a high-performing ecommerce team with a culture of innovation and accountabilityOwn monthly sales planning and product launch forecastingManage the ecommerce budget in partnership with VPLead the design, functionality, and ongoing optimization of to maximize user experience, conversion, and revenueDrive growth through performance analysis, customer segmentation, A/B and multivariate testing, landing page optimization, and creative partnershipsDefine and execute the ecommerce roadmap in partnership with external development agencies, balancing enhancements, innovation, and bug fixesPartner with CRM and Paid Media teams to deliver seamless omnichannel executionSupport international growth beyond North America (US & CA), identifying partners, requirements, and compliance needs for new marketsStay ahead of digital marketing trends, marketplace capabilities, and emerging technologies, applying best practices and testing new approaches to enhance performanceQualifications:
7-10 years of experience in ecommerce, media agencies, or marketplace managementBachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related preferredHands-on experience with Shopify, Amazon Seller or Vendor Central, TikTok Shop, or similar platformsStrong analytical skills and comfort working with performance dashboards (e.g., GA4, internal BI tools)Proactive communicator and problem solver who thrives in collaborative settingsExcellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights to measure and optimize performanceExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partnersStrategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvementExperience driving customer experience improvements across site and marketplacesComfort operating at both a strategic and tactical level—balancing vision-setting with hands-on executionAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong leadership capabilities, ability to influence senior leadership and experience building and developing high-performing ecommerce teamsEqual Opportunity Statement:
