About this team

The Global Logistics and Trade Technology teams are committed to unlocking business potential with our Global Fulfillment and broader Supply Chain partners. Supporting both vendor and propriety systems the teams provide solutions to enable our partners in streamlining the lifecycle of product movement from our manufacturers to our DC's, from our DC's to our stores and guests as well as international trade across logistics and settlement activities including but not limited to components such as product classification, import/export process management and commercial invoice information.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Architect who will own systems architecture on the Outbound Logistics Technology team supporting our in-house parcel engine and associated capabilities. In this role you play a pivotal role in supporting delivery teams by crafting detailed solution roadmaps for a defined set of capabilities, systems, or projects. You collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure implementations align with architectural intent and business goals.

A Day in the Life/Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and evolution of technology solutions across the architecture lifecycle, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Project/Program Managers, and Analysts to define project requirements, success criteria, and design guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Actively participate in and present at architecture design reviews, advocating for sound design principles and engineering best practices.
  • Proactively engage cross-functional stakeholders, gather organizational context, and incorporate insights into architectural decisions.
  • Identify and document deviations from future-state architecture, escalating where necessary to maintain architectural integrity.
  • Clearly communicate trade-offs in architecture approaches; adapt processes to project and team needs.
  • Contribute to the Architecture Community of Practice, sharing knowledge and presenting at internal events to foster alignment and growth across teams.
  • Continue to investigate new and innovative technologies to evolve the future state architecture in partnership with other Architects in the department
  • Develop and monitor adherence to integration standards and will utilize these standards to design solutions that meet operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability
  • Deep understanding of integration technologies and practices as well as the business acumen to develop overarching system designs
  • Mentor delivery teams on adopting new ideas/technologies
  • Have a forward-thinking, empathy driven mindset with people and development at the forefront

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or applicable experience in information/computer technology field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, cloud-based software systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in architecting retail/supply chain applications is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Java spring and related frameworks for 4-5 years.
  • Proven expertise in cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience integrating with Cloud/SaaS applications, API's, SDK of packaged applications and legacy applications.
  • Experience building microservices is required.
  • Strong capabilities in data architecture, including analytics pipelines, visualization frameworks, and scalable data solutions.
  • Experience working and leading in a DevOps operating model utilizing Cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism in working collaboratively at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
  • Strong collaboration skills to achieve business goals collectively across broad teams.
  • Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change.
  • Strong preference for those with supply chain application experience.

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from
$136,200-170,200
annually
; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program subject to program eligibility requirements.
