Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our emergency medical services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care and emergency medicine, demonstrating the ability to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including urgent care and trauma centers. As a Paramedic, you will play a vital role in responding to emergencies, performing patient assessments, and delivering life-saving interventions.

Shift

Paramedic needed to work shift: 9p-9a working rotating 2-2-3.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced life support and emergency medical care to patients in pre-hospital settings.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring and physical examinations.
  • Administer medications and injections as per protocols, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Manage airways effectively and perform critical care transport when necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in Level I and Level II trauma centers for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Utilize medical terminology accurately while documenting patient information and treatment plans.
  • Assist in triage processes during emergencies to prioritize patient care based on severity.
  • Operate emergency vehicles safely while transporting patients to medical facilities.
  • Engage in heavy lifting as required for patient handling and equipment management.
  • Maintain knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform clinical decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Current Paramedic certification and state licensure required.
  • Critical care experience preferred, with familiarity in emergency room settings or urgent care environments.
  • Previous EMT experience is advantageous, along with knowledge of DME (Durable Medical Equipment).
  • Proficient in venipuncture techniques and medication administration protocols.
  • Strong understanding of emergency medicine principles, including airway management and vital signs assessment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while demonstrating excellent communication skills.

Pay

  • $18 - Hourly
  • $54/hr - Overtime
  • $850/wk - Housing and Meals
