Overview

We are seeking an energetic and hardworking Junior Superintendent to assist in managing construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a background in minor background construction, with interest in learning to perform project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. This role requires a proactive person who can effectively communicates, ensures safety, and maintain high standards of workmanship on-site. In this role you will be checking on project daily, getting necessary materials for staff/sub contractors as needed, and learning to manage projects on your own.

Duties

  • Check in daily operations on construction sites to ensure projects are being completed on time and with highest quality.
  • Learn to supervise construction teams, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with Construction Owner, project managers and stakeholders to develop project schedules.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety regulations (OSHA). Learn job site safety and how to teach staff and sub contractors
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities.
  • Learn implement quality control measures to meet project specifications and standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills

  • Begin to learn about construction management principles including budgeting, estimating, project scheduling, and quality control.
  • Learn how to read blueprints and schematics with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with teams effectively eventually learning to supervise project own your own.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise on-site.
  • Previous experience in with some hands on skills in construction will be helpful to fill roles needed or help meet a deadline.

Job Type: Full-time

Projected Total Compensation: $51, $60,000.00 per year
