ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for delivering quality food for the entire Flying Horse Staff and are responsible for specific duties in the banquet kitchen. To be successful, you will need to work well under pressure and be an excellent team player.

• Expected to comply with the conditions of the Food Health and Safety regulations and sanitation policies.
• Work in a professional, best-in-class kitchen with a passionate team of cooks and Chefs
• Stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.
• Follow and retain instructions giving to you by leadership
• Operate kitchen equipment
• Label and date all product
• Must be able to use resources readily available to create a variety of meals in large quantity.
• Follow and maintain policies of cleanliness and sanitation practices in the kitchen.
• Follow proper food handling, holding, re-heating and cooling procedures.
• Be present in the kitchen and assigned station when required.
• Follows the instructions and recommendations from the immediate supervisors to complete daily tasks.
• Takes care of daily prep and duties assigned to meet the standards and quality set by the kitchen.
• Ability to produce work in accordance with a deadline and assist others with the same goal.
• Minimize spoilage waste and over production by doing daily walk-throughs with Chef assistance.
• Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous food and beverage experience is preferred.
• Self-motivated individuals
• Ability to expedite with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and read recipes proficiently
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and verbiage
• Knife handling skills
• Food Safety knowledge
• Positive attitude
• Must be able to assess ingredients and create quality meals for various numbers of staff depending on business

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Must possess customer service skills and strong oral communication skills. Competency in dealing with members and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy. Must possess the ability to work effectively under time deadlines. Must possess the communication skills required to work within a team to achieve a mutual goal.
