Job Title: Mental Health Technician

As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. Your compassionate approach and dedication to patient care will help create a safe and nurturing environment for those in need. You'll work closely with healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans and provide essential support to patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.

What you'll do

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Engage with patients through therapeutic communication, fostering a supportive atmosphere.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and management to ensure patient safety during challenging situations.
  • Document patient progress and behaviors accurately in medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess patient needs and adjust care strategies as necessary.
  • Participate in data collection for behavioral health assessments and treatment evaluations.

Basic qualifications

  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is essential.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with PTSD care, autism support, special education practices, or addiction counseling.

Preferred qualifications

  • Background in social work or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation practices.
  • Experience with applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques is a plus.
