In the role of GIS Intern, you will provide technical geospatial analytical support on a variety of daily tasks and projects to ensure optimal operations.  It's an excellent job for people who want to gain valuable hands-on experience in the natural gas industry. 

Placement Details:

This is a 3 month placement starting in Jan 2026, located in Houston, TX. This is a hybrid role (Wed/Fri – Work from home)

What you will do:

  • Geospatial data quality control and validation
  • Location based data analysis and visualization 
  • Maintaining spreadsheets and geo databases
  • Interacting, collaborating and supporting different professionals and Enbridge departments
  • Providing support to other GIS Professionals or projects as required

Who you are: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Computer Science, Geography, Engineering with experience/knowledge of GIS and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term. 
  • Some interaction with ESRI Products
  • Interest in data analysis and data reporting both spatial and non-spatial.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge's core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion). 

Working Conditions: 

  • Office based role, located in Houston, TX.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
