Location: Avon CT & Waterbury CT (Onsite)

Type: Full Time Reports to: VP, Engineering & Managed Services

The Onsite IT Technician will be the primary backbone of our client support operations at locations in Avon, CT and Waterbury, CT, visiting these sites on a weekly basis. In this role, you will support our technology operations by delivering exceptional technical assistance and ensuring that IT infrastructure runs smoothly.

You will be the go-to expert for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing computer systems, and providing outstanding customer service to end users. Your work will help maintain seamless connectivity and enhance productivity across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide hands-on technical support for desktop and mobile devices, ensuring optimal performance of all operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.

· Troubleshoot software issues and perform hardware repairs to keep systems running efficiently.

· Manage computer networking tasks, including VPN setup, firewall configurations, and DNS management, to ensure secure connections.

· Administer Active Directory for user management and permissions while leveraging Group Policy Objects (GPO) for system configurations.

· Utilize tools such as ConnectWise Ticketing System, JAMF MDM, Sophos.

· Conduct regular analysis of IT infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance system reliability.

· Collaborate with team members to resolve help desk tickets promptly while providing excellent customer service throughout the process.

· Maintain documentation of IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to foster knowledge sharing within the team.

· Promote Kelser services, products, and partnerships

· Attend trainings and certification programs as required

· Other reasonable duties assigned by management

Requirements/Qualifications

· Strong understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting techniques.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with network administration concepts including TCP/IP and LAN setups.

· Experience with Meraki networking equipment and mobile device management solutions.

· Ability and desire to work with staff in a public facing environment.

· Familiarity with analysis skills for diagnosing complex IT issues effectively.

· Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse teams and provide clear instructions.

· Interest in the challenge, excitement, and responsibility of a fast-paced, growth environment

· Excellent customer service skills

· Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work and meet deadlines

· Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities and demands
