Washington, Washington, D.C., United States Law Offices of Leah V. Durant & Associates Full time

About Us
We are a national law firm dedicated to representing individuals and families who have suffered rare vaccine-related adverse reactions through the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP). Our practice is built on compassion, professionalism, and a deep respect for the critical role vaccines play in public health. Vaccines are safe and essential, but—as with any medical procedure—there are rare cases where individuals experience unexpected side effects. When that happens, Congress has provided a no-fault compensation system to ensure those individuals receive the support and compensation they deserve. Our firm is extremely proud to help them navigate that process.

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Administrative Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a professional environment, excels at multitasking, and brings a proactive, "can-do" approach to their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and staff, including billing and time entry support.
  • Prepare invoices and other billing documents.
  • Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files with exceptional accuracy.
  • Assist with client communications and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding matters.
  • Coordinate meetings, manage team calendars, and make travel arrangements as needed.
  • Prepare and proofread legal documents and presentations with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Support office operations, including supply management, mail handling, and answering firm phones.
  • Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Prior administrative or office support experience (law firm experience preferred but not required).
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning new software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package, including employer-provided health insurance for the employee and a 4% 401(k) match.
  • Professional growth opportunities within a supportive and collaborative team.
  • A positive and collaborative workplace culture.
